Bobcat Depot has partnered with Safeware (www.safeware.com) to provide warranty coverage and accidental damage protection for any Apple computer purchased directly from us. Costs range from $99 for iPads and $219 up to $369 for MacBook and MacBook Pro models (see specific model for exact pricing). Safeware provides four years of accidental coverage (2-years for iPads) with no deductible (up to the original purchase price of the computer; less sales tax).Safeware must be purchased within 30 days of device purchase Effective 06/01/18, Safeware comes with complimentary theft coverage during the first 12 months of your contract (theft claim subject to $100 deductible). Safeware must be purchased at time of device purchase. Safeware is an Ohio-based company that has been providing computer warranty coverage for 30 years.
If you have any hardware problems with your computer (including power adapters), you can bring it to us and we will repair it at no charge to you! Or, if you're not in Athens, contact Safeware and they will instruct you how to get your computer repaired at no charge.
Bobcat Depot or Safeware is not responsible for any data loss. Users should back up their data regularly.
If Safeware is purchased, customer is also eligible for a laptop loaner (no additional charge; included with Safeware purchase) if their machines needs repaired and is being repaired by Bobcat Depot.

- AppleCare +
All Apple hardware comes with a one-year limited warranty and up to 90 days of complimentary telephone technical support. To extend your coverage for 3 years total, purchase the AppleCare+ Protection Plan. Note: Ohio University Departments (institution purchase) has the option for a 4-year AppleCare+. AppleCare+ must be purchased within 60 days of device purchase. AppleCare+ covers manufacturer and electrical defects and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage from handling for Mac, each subject to a service fee of $99 for screen damage or external enclosure damage, or $299 for other damage. If you opt to purchase AppleCare+, the loaner laptop program is an additional fee.
Lenovo
Lenovo laptops (ThinkPad) come with a 3-year standard manufacturer warranty (covers manufacturer defects only). We recommend Safeware to provide accidental damage protection which also includes enrollment into our laptop loan program.- Safeware

Microsoft Surface
Each Surface comes with a 1-year limited hardware warranty (included in the price) from Microsoft. For repairs needed under the 1-year Microsoft warranty, contact Microsoft Support directly. If you prefer to have an additional warranty, we also provide Safeware.-

Costs range from $289 or $389 if device is over $2000. Safeware provides four years of accidental coverage with no deductible (up to the original purchase price of the computer; less sales tax).
